Today marks the 10th anniversary of one of the best games ever made, and it’s none other than CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt! It’s been 10 years since Geralt’s concluding chapter was released on consoles and PC, and the developers are celebrating this momentous occasion.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Marks 10th Anniversary With Festivities
If you expect DLC or a title update that adds something to the game, you’ll be disappointed that CD Projekt RED has no such thing planned.
As for what’s on the way for fans, here’s an overview straight from the developers’ press release.
- An anniversary trailer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been released, presenting a memory-laden look at the game’s story and thanking the game’s community for being a part of this special journey.
- Geralt’s voice actor Doug Cockle joined the anniversary episode of REDstreams and reminisced on his role as the White Wolf.
- The Witcher in Concert begins its anniversary celebrations with upcoming concerts in Boston and Poznań ahead of the official tour kickoff at gamescom in August.
- Further celebrations include a series of 10 artworks from long-time Witcher artists, the release of The Little Witcher, and a collaboration with Embody on the Immerse Gamepack — with more announcements to come!
There’s also the recently released Immerse Gamepack from Embody, which brings personalized spatial audio for The Witcher 3 players on PC.

There is a chance that CD Projekt RED releases a surprise update to the game, though the chances of that are very slim. That said, with the fleshed out expansions, supplementing the content-packed main game, CDPR seems to have told all the Geralt stories they have in mind, which is why it’s also not surprising that Ciri will be the protagonist in The Witcher 4. However, if you want to play Ciri right now, there’s a mod available for The Witcher 3 that lets you do just that.
Don’t expect the next The Witcher game to be released this year or even next year. The earliest it’ll be released is 2027, and even then, that’s not guaranteed given CDPR’s penchant for delaying its games.
