A Starfield player believes they’ve discovered a sneaky little reference to the US sitcom, The Office, which aired its final ever episode in 2013.

Taking to the Starfield subreddit earlier today, user Fun-Potential-378 brought attention to this easter egg, which they believe to be a reference to The Office. To be more specific, the easter egg appears to be a nod to the sixteenth episode of season five, which sees Dwight and Jim attempt to plan a birthday party for Kelly, which results in a classic Dwight-esque banner that reads, “it is your birthday.”

Once you notice it, you’ll never unsee it.

Although the easter egg found in Starfield isn’t a word-for-word copy, the player that discovered it believes there are “just enough differences, but still obvious and hilarious.” We’re inclined to agree, as the player has stumbled upon a party room with a banner that reads “Celebrate your birthday,” which is clearly a subtle nod to The Office’s famous episode.

Aside from the slight change in wording, the banner is nearly identical to the one seen in The Office. However, some were quick to jokingly point out that the balloons in-game weren’t nearly deflated enough, a nod to the barely inflated balloons by Dwight in The Office.

If you’re eager to check out this easter egg for yourself, the player who discovered it has stated that it can be found inside the Infinity LTD offices in New Atlantis.
