The same team that is allegedly preparing the Split Fiction project is also the one behind the It Takes Two adaptation that Amazon is producing. This suggests that it won’t be long until a company snags the rights to Split Fiction and cameras start rolling.

Split Fiction is tailor-made for a movie adaptation. It has a fantastic story, great characters, and tons of amazing locations and set pieces. Sure, big chunks will have to be cut, but that happens with every video game-to-screen adaptation.

Even if the movie rights are snagged tomorrow, it will still be a few years until Split Fiction is finally released in cinemas or to streaming services. Making movies takes time, and hopefully, Hollywood won’t have buyers remorse after the excitement around the game dies down and people move on to something else.
