A classic Dungeons & Dragons game is finally returning, as a leak has confirmed that Neverwinter Nights 2 is receiving a remaster.
Most of the classic PC D&D games have received remasters and console ports. These include the first two Baldur’s Gate games, Planescape Torment, Icewind Dale, and the original Neverwinter Nights.

It seems that whatever issues were holding back Neverwinter Nights 2 have finally been resolved. According to a leak on Steamdb (discovered by the GamingLeaksAndRumours Reddit), Neverwinter Nights 2 is being remastered.
Neverwinter Nights 2 Remaster Has Leaked On Steam
According to the leak, the Neverwinter Nights 2 remaster is called “Dungeons & Dragons: Neverwinter Nights 2 Enhanced Edition.” The game was developed by Aspyr and it’s already ready to run on Steam Deck.
Chances are, the remaster will also come to consoles, considering the other classic D&D modern ports have done so in the past.
Baldur’s Gate 3 fans should definitely check out Neverwinter Nights 2. The game uses the older third edition D&D rules, while Baldur’s Gate 3 uses the fifth edition rules, but they’re both similar enough that it should be easy to pick up.
