When first starting in DD2, players will customize their main Pawn and give them an Inclination. So early in the game, it may not be clear what the Pawn’s Inclination does and how that decision will affect things later on in the game.

Luckily, there is a way for players to change their Pawn’s Inclination at any point later in the game, with the process being immediately available. A pawn’s Inclination can be changed as often as players would like, letting it be switched up to make the perfect match for whatever their current Vocation is.
How To Change Your Pawn’s Inclination
Players can switch their main Pawn’s Inclinationanytime at camp using Rift Incense and a Camping Kit. After making camp, but before going to sleep, go up and talk to your main Pawn, where the “Give Rift Incense” option will be the second one down. Selecting this option will let players give any available Rift Incense to change their Pawn’s Inclination to that of the Incense, with any Incense of their current Inclination being unavailable until after it is changed to something else.

Where To Get Rift Incense
Rift Incense can be found randomly throughout the world in chests, but the easiest and most straightforward place to get it is the Vernworth Pawn Guild. This is found in the central building of Vernworth by the Riftstone, along the left side of the building. Rift Incense can be purchased for 2,000 RC a piece, letting players specifically pick which Inclination to give their Pawn to match their current Vocation.
One standout option is the Ambivalent Rift Incense, which only costs 500 RC. This item changes your Pawn’s Inclination but to a random Inclination. Despite being cheaper, this is rarely the right option as some Inclinations fit specific Vocations better than others, and randomizing their Inclination can make them less effective than saving up RC for a specific Incense.
Summoning other Pawns to cover various Inclinations is easy, thanks to the Advanced Search option. Players can also specifically summon their friend’s Pawns to add a level of multiplayer in this single-player adventure.
