I remember back in the day, the best way to get a console at launch was to wait overnight at a retail store. For example, I camped out for the Nintendo Wii overnight at my local Best Buy. It was cold, it was long, but it was worth it: I walked out with a Nintendo Wii day one and got to enjoy some Wii Sports action before getting some much-needed rest.
In today’s era of gaming, the notion of camping out overnight isn’t much of a thing anymore, as everything seems to be available through pre-order, but one retailer is making a limited supply of Nintendo Switch 2 units on release day.
Some Best Buy Stores Will Have The Nintendo Switch 2 In Stock At Midnight On June 5th
For the unlucky gamers who haven’t been able to pick up a Nintendo Switch 2 pre-order, you can test your luck at participating Best Buy locations.
An email from the retailer says that they will have “limited inventory” of the Nintendo Switch 2 system, games, and accessories. It is unclear if they will have both Nintendo Switch 2 SKUs available.

Regardless, it’s nice to know those still looking to pick up a day one Nintendo Switch 2 will have options. Hopefully, it’ll be those that intend to own and play the system that can pick them up and not scalpers just trying to make a quick buck.
